Quality & sourcing

Premium protein is a category where the difference between exceptional and ordinary is invisible on arrival. These are the controls that make our product predictable.

Wagyu grading

Guide to MB Selection

Marble Beef (MB) scores measure intramuscular fat in Australian Wagyu. Higher scores mean more marbling, richer flavour and a more tender, buttery texture.

MB 4–5

Tender and juicy with balanced flavour.

Great for BBQs and everyday grilling. The marbling adds richness and moisture — a crowd-pleasing grade delivering consistent quality at the premium table.

MB 6–7

Rich flavour, tender texture, visible marbling.

Excellent for restaurant-quality steaks. Noticeably increased fat distribution creates a juicy, flavourful result that elevates any preparation.

MB 8–9

Deep umami, buttery texture, exceptional marbling.

The premium range favoured by fine dining. Dense marbling delivers a luxurious mouthfeel and complex flavour profile that defines premium Wagyu.

MB 9+

Exceptionally marbled, melts in your mouth.

Ultimate indulgence. The pinnacle of the Australian Wagyu scale — near-total marbling with intense, complex flavour and a silky texture.

Foodco Gourmet supplies: Australian Pure Bred Wagyu from MB 4–5 through MB 9+ — including Elbow Valley — plus certified Japanese A5. Fresh and frozen. Halal certified · Full traceability · HACCP ASM/HP/110626/0337.
